Biography

Richard Heath is an intellectual property lawyer and policy advisor with nearly 40 years’ experience, including 25 years in senior in-house leadership roles within blue-chip multinational organisations.

His career spans many executive in house positions across Legal and Public Affairs, as well as earlier senior scientific research management roles in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. He has served as a Company Director since 2002 in both Executive and Non-Executive capacities.

In 2010, following his last role at Unilever as Vice President, Legal & Global Anti-Counterfeiting Counsel, Richard founded Richard Heath (IP) Associates Limited, a specialist international consultancy advising on intellectual property public policy, trade marks, brand protection, and related regulatory issues. He works with leading multinational clients across the sporting goods, pharmaceutical, consumer products, food and financial investment sectors.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents. He and his firm are regulated by IP Reg in the UK.
